My lazy guide for PoMs. All the good information you should know written terribly in a rushed guide. The shit still works though.
There isn't really any structure to this so just read the whole thing. Stat points: Bandaging 44/620 (slowly buffing this up now) Recovery 99/620 (always helpful to use stam to run away and kite opponents) Mana Attractor 403/620 (You won't notice a difference in mana until this is leveled up fairly significantly) Renew Mana 620/620 (Always keep this maxed) Casting Concentration 461/620 (This number is way too high but I don't really care to pay 50s to respec atm) Run Speed 281/620 (Again, always helpful in PvP to kite) Climbing 400/620 (I believe the highest you will need this is 600 eventually but I haven't seen it as that useful thus far) Hiding 40/600 (30-40 is plenty for pvp but most mobs will see you this low) Perception 0/620 (could easily spec some points in here instead of casting concentration to again, help with pvp) Feats: I respec'd 2 times before I figured out what I liked so I can't really assume what your spec should be level by level. Divinity Tree: Spell - Lance of Mitra (5/5) Great start to this very powerful tree. I use lance in almost every encounter and is very helpful in doing damage as well as healing. Basic use: After I have X amount of mobs on me I will target the middle mob and cast lance (all enemies will be hit with the column radius). Next I will use it after Repulse. Once all targets are knocked down I usually sprint to the far side of my target and cast this again letting the column hit ALL the mobs in it's path. Divine Lance (5/5) Allows your lance to heal as well as do damage. Basic use: Line up your tank between the main mobs and yourself and this will add another instant heal (not very large but useful). Holy Accenssion (5/5) Wave of Life (your best HoT) procs a buff that decreases mana cost on your next spell (very useful for longer fights and aoe grinding). Wave of Life only needs to be cast once every 20 seconds while fighting but you might want to cast it sooner to get the proc (also there is a small instant burst heal on WoL) Spell - Clarity of Mind(1/1) Another mana conservation spell to help with the taxing mana costs while aoe grinding as well as pvp. Force of Will (2/3) While Clarity of Mind is activated, this increases damage (I plan on maxing this eventually) Wrath of Mitra (5/5) Helpful to get through this tree (the end bonus is amazing) and increases holy damage. Improved Repulse (3/3) Money! At level 59 or so I received this and you notice an instant improvement. Repulse is the PoMs best spell and this improves it. Empowered Repulse (2/2) Makes repulse just that much better. better knock back and your targets stay down longer. Holy Surge (1/5) This will be maxed out eventually but I have no more feat points ATM! Increases crit. Get the point of this build? Damage damage damage. Overwhelming Light (0/5) Also will be maxed when available. Increases crit dmg on all holy spells. More of the same. Spell - Avatar of Mitra (0/1) Finally when we hit this section of the tree we will recieve yet another CC device. AOE stun is all I need to say here. Vengeance Tree (Not as heavily favored in my build as Divinity but still very important) Improve Smite (5/5) Great overall skill and this just beefs it up. Spell - Cleansing Fire (5/5) Wonderful aoe spell at all levels. Works well when AOE grinding. Basic use: Line em' up and knock em' down. Very short cooldown and I use frequently with a rebuke combo (quick burst dmg of about 600 or so when using both) Holy Vengeance (5/5) Increases Damage after using Wave of Life (The sooner you cast a spell the more damage this does. It starts out at x5 and goes down to x1 within about 5 seconds or so) Glowing Radiance (3/3) All members of your party who were hit by radiance will have their attacks buffed for a short time (more importantly, a pre-req for the next skill) Searing Light (1/1) Turns your aoe group heal into an aoe mass damage spell. One of the biggest damaging spells you have. Basic use: Try to aoe down your mobs as much as possible and once you are fairly low on health throw a repulse followed by this baby. It will knock enemy health way down and yours way up. Revivication (2/3) When hit by mele combat this procs an automatic Emanation of Life (your other HoT which is not amazing but still very helpful). EoL must be re-casted every 10 seconds so this is very helpful and saves the annoyance of re-recasting (the casting time on EoL is fairly long too) 2/3 in this section gets a proc almost every hit anyways. I have seen no need to max it out. General Tree: (I didn't spend a whole lot of time in this tree since I am doing quite a bit of PVP. This tree could be very useful for PVE content and I still might respec once I hit 80 (although it is getting expensive now!) Ether Flow (5/5) Increases your mana regen rate both in and out of combat. Basic AOE Grind Cast: Wave of Life Run/sprint around and collect 4-6 mobs. Quickly target the middle mob. Cast: Lance Cast: Cleansing Fire Cast: Rebuke Cast: Repulse (Now we have a few options depending on what is going on with your health and the health of the mobs) Situation 1: You are low on health Cast: Radience (this is on a 30 second cooldown and you also receive 60 second debuff so you can not cast it on yourself again I usually only use this if I have to because we are on a pvp server and you never know when you need that spot heal) Position yourself to cast Lance so it hits as many targets as possible Cast: Lance Cast: Rebuke Cast: cleansing Fire Clean up mobs as necessary (with smite or another lance) Repeat entire process if necessary. Situation 2: You are fine on health (more frequent situation) Position yourself to cast Lance so it hits as many targets as possible Cast: Lance Cast: Rebuke Cast: cleansing Fire Clean up mobs as necessary (with smite or another lance) Repeat entire process if necessary. Side Notes: Get familiar with your hotkeys and how to cycle through them. I have all of my attacking holy damage spells on bar one. I hold shift+2 to cycle to my second bar which has my healing spells as well as debuffs Shift+3 has spells I don't usually use in combat (buffs etc) Bar 4 has spell weaving and my rez as well as a very important spell called: Sustaining faith This is something like innervate from WoW that druids had. It's a 30 minute cooldown that allows you to basically blow all your mana and recover all of it within a few seconds. Path of Asura Obviously ports you to whatever city you are saved at but I found out the hard way early on that while cycling through different spells on different bars while watching health and trying to do damage and kite and... well you get the picture, I accidentally ported out of battle back to Old Tarantia. Needless to say, I quickly moved this to bar for on the 0 key which doesn't come close to any of my other hotkeys yet is still fairly accessible. Mele directional pad is set to display when I hold the alt key (known as bar 0. This is set like this as a default) So when you need to do your dance combos you know where to find it. I haven't done a whole lot of crafting but I am actually starting tonight so I guess I will post on that later. Grouping: Pretty basic concept here. AOE rules the kingdom and we have a lot of it pair up with a ToS, PoM, HoX (in that order). Anybody else you pair up with you will soon begin to feel like the are just leaching xp off of your hard earned AOE pulls (or they will wipe you) Basic idea: Do what you would do solo AOE grinding but grab 8-10 mobs and run them back to your AOE buddies and watch them drop like flies. Grab mobs higher level than you and you will get something around one half bar to 3/4 a bar per pull. There are a few guides as to where the good aoe grinding spots are and to be completely honest I don't remember anything from even 2 levels ago. My only tip is that if your spot is crowded, PK those that get close to your mobs (PoM/ToS/HoX should destroy most) or switch your instance and try to find the smallest population. PVE: Yawn. Extremely easy healing if you do it properly. DO NOT START YOUR HEALS OVER TIME ON THE TANKS BEFORE THEY PULL. Wait about 2-3 seconds before you drop your HoT on them or else you will grab agro immediately and wipe. It sucks. The only time you really need to worry about spot heals is when you have a shitty pull or there are adds. This is when you can use your crowd control to help out and isolate 1-2 mobs (use repulse, stun and fear) That's it. I finally did something.
